Pigment and Metaphors Ipreciation show at the Fullerton Hotel February 2004 A joint-show by Ian Woo, Baet Yoke Kuan, and Chng Nai Wee
“Deck the Square with colours”
Organised by: Sculpture Square
If you have an eye for colours, we want you! Sculpture Square, a hundred and thirty-three year old building with a beautiful Gothic-like façade once home to a Baba Methodist congregation and its adjacent buildings which include the office space and a restaurant, is a contemporary arts space in Middle Road. It is scheduled to undergo some upgrading and we want you to be part of Sculpture Square renewal phase.
Sculpture Square is a non-profit, independent arts organization. It is Singapore’s first and only exhibition space dedicated solely to the promotion, development and regional exchange of contemporary three-dimensional art. It will also be home to a new art and lifestyle restaurant housed within the square.
Sculpture Square is also deeply committed in engaging sculptural art to the general public. It regularly holds community art programmes such as the artist in residence programme, exhibitions featuring local and international artists, annual children’s sculpture carnival and informal sessions with the artists. So be part of this great heritage site and indicate to us your choice of three exciting colours for our premise and we promise to realize your vision.
How can this be done? The general public are encourage to cut the colour schemes from magazines, paint colour charts and give their choice of colours of the three buildings (including the chapel, the two-storey office space and the restaurant block) and mail it to us at
