Waterloo Arts Alive! 8-9 Jun 2002 4 - 8 pm
Arty encounters on Waterloo Street! Indulge in a weekend of artistic activity on 8 and 9 June from 4 to 8pm at Waterloo Arts Alive!, an event of the Singapore Arts Festival 2002. Home to a diverse group of arts companies such as ACTION Theatre, Chinese Calligraphy Society of Singapore, Dance Ensemble Singapore, Stamford Arts Centre, Sculpture Square and Young Musicians' Society, Waterloo Street will be bursting with performances, exhibitions and hands-on workshops. If that's not enough, the irrepressible fun will be spilling out onto the street with the art and craft stalls, food carts and roving buskers doing anything and everything. Watch out for the Snuffpuppets from Australia as they crash, bang and boom their way along Waterloo Street in a larger-than-life procession! For early birds, there're even some great festival freebies like fans, tote bags, lollipops and balloons for the kids! With something for everyone, it's a place for the whole family to experience the arts up close. So come, immerse yourself in a weekend adventure of the arts!
