Ian Woo - The error hope drawings
The error hope drawings are a set of intricate works on paper based on the use of pattern and text. The initial idea of these works grew out of the artist’s realisation and fascination with the contradictory, yet appealingly anticipated relationship of the two meanings of the words, error and hope. The works in this exhibition bring together the many possible and impossible relationships between observation and meaning.
