DIGITAL FINE ART

Pushing the limits in digital photography and breaking new ground in
Arts Representation....... The Digital Camera as my paint brush and
lights as my paint/ink.....

The primary subject is on painting with Lights. I have used the
digital camera as a paintbrush and created abstract representations
and imagery with it. The digital camera is my only tool. None of the
images have gone through any major editing or manipulation with any
imaging softwares. The two main light sources are: 1) lights of
traffic; that is red and green lights, and moving vehicles 2)
standing lamps.

These are abstract digital paintings using brush stroke techniques on
light sources. The techniques I have used on creating these images
are very unique in both idea and conceptualisation. The resulting
images are informal, non-restrictive, raw, and untreated. However, my
paintings speak volume because they turn the simplest encounter in
our daily lives into visually stunning abstract arts with a definite
theme. You will notice that none of the images are exactly identical.
Just like a reflection of life, the only entity that is constant is
change. There are many opportunities for capturing stunning images
with the new technique that I have developed and I am continually
experimenting with these new digital brush strokes. The images of
traffics lights were taken while on the move and travelling in
vehicles(Moving Lights). The others were taken from one light bulb
source from a standing lamp(Still Lights).

My works are an amalgamation between conventional photography,
digital photography and brush painting.

The term "light Painting" has generally been used by some artists in
the West but mainly to highlight differences between lights and
shadow or create silhouette images.

What are these works about? In lives, we are constantly faced with
the dilemma of what's right and what's wrong. We stop to ponder and
we stop to seek acknowledgement, validation and approval. We seek for
the green light to go and the red light to stop. Lives may be full of
these mental activities. While going around building our future we
lose the energy and time to stop by the cross road to think, play and
be creative. These works are to me about living your dreams and about
possibilities. It is possible to push creativity further with passion
and possible to create extraordinary work out of ordinary everyday
life. Dare to dream and to make a different.

I am currently looking for Galleries who are interested to represent
my range of print work.
