From the moment the first mark is made on the canvas to the last mark, we are in a void where we are ruled by our instincts. Consumed by the process of painting, we completely attach ourselves to the work - the artist and the painting become one. After the last mark is made, we declare that the work is finished and make an exit.

The Exit process is an experimental collaboration between the two artists. The challenge of abstract painting comes from stopping at the height of the painting's poignancy, from intuitively knowing when enough is enough. Exit is a celebration of stepping out in order to return, of letting go to start anew.

Join us for the opening reception on 8th June, 6 - 8pm.
