This is the first major retrospective of Liu Kuo-sung’s art in Singapore, covering works from 1963 to 2005. Professor Liu is a pioneering figure in the history of modern ink painting, and since the 1950s he has been a major influence in experimental ink painting in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. His 70th anniversary in 2003 was celebrated with major retrospective exhibitions in three museums in China.
