September holidays for the children

The September holidays for the children are not far away! At Clay Cove, we always have a different and interesting curriculum for the children to create their special pottery masterpieces!

This September, we’ll teach the children to create and paint 2 penguins on a frozen lake. As they create their penguins, they can think up of an interesting story and transport themselves into their imaginary storyland! Many of our students use their personally-created figurines as props for their show-and-tell sessions in school. This September will be no difference as they enjoy this tactile activity!

Apart from September school holiday courses, we also run weekly sessions from Thurs to Sundays.

Here’s an update on the pottery courses for children, toddlers, adults and parent-child programmes!

1) September Holiday’s 2-session Pottery Making Special by Clay Cove

Clay Cove specializes in pottery making as a fun activity to enhance the children’s creativity and spatial intelligence. This right-brained activity encourages the children to practice visualizing in three dimensions. 3-D visualization is a powerful technique that all children should master as it enables them to gain a different perspective. Pottery making can achieve this as well as enhance their fine-motor skills.

Apart from having fun, pottery making also enables them to develop focus, concentration and stronger sense of perseverance. This activity also increases their confidence when they realize their ability to create wonderful masterpieces. No two pottery masterpieces are the same as each item created by the child has a unique character.

Let your children be creatively occupied this September holiday! They will learn to create 2 penguins on a frozen lake during session 1 and paint their masterpieces during session 2.

It costs $60 for both sessions! Pottery making is an excellent way to harness your child’s creativity and enhance their spatial intelligence! Gather your friends’ and neighbours’ children, and sign them up today!

Date: Sept 5 & 8 (Mondays & Thursdays) or Sept 6 & 9 (Tuesdays & Fridays)

2) Toddler Pottery Making Course

Toddlers are naturally curious and enjoy the feeling that clay gives their little fingers. With clay, they will learn to mould, shape, knead, roll and flatten clay. These creative movements are part of their growing up process. At Clay Cove, we’ll nurture this ability and teach them to create plates where they can tell imaginative stories!

It’ll cost $50 for 2 sessions and they will learn to create and paint a plate!
