Plastique Kinetic Worms

Presents

Worms Festival V : HOUSE

24 October – 22 November 2003

A house is a building made for people to live in, usually built for a single group of occupants. All the people who are in the house, particularly the people who usually live there, define their spaces within intimately, to make themselves comfortable, sometimes containing their memories and projecting their memories in images. The House shelters us, protects us and allows us to dream in peace. In the past, present and the future, the House offers us this potential binding mechanism to integrate our thoughts and memories; translating this unique entity into a space and moving images.

The feature for this year’s Worms Festival 5: HOUSE will be an architect’s conceptualisation of the gallery space of Plastique Kinetic Worms as well as a compilation of video works and films by various local and foreign artists, which will be presented as part of an interactive installation for the period of the four weeks. The gallery space will be transformed by an architect into a space accommodating a collection of moving images by local and overseas experimental filmmakers providing the visitor a glimpse into an environment comprising of the physical space and moving images.
