New Expression of Asian Art Exhibition

A travelling exhibition has been organised to take the work of the best artists from Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore around the four countries as a means of cultural exchange and goodwill. Singapore is the first stop and on display will be a plethora of paintings created using a multitude of techniques including traditional Chinese ink paintings, oils, watercolours and contemporary abstract works of art. A total of 48 artists’ works will be exhibited and the 12 artists chosen to represent Singapore include Tay Bak Koi, Chieu Shuey Fook, Goh Beng Kwan and Nai Swee Leng. The exhibition runs at the Selegie Gallery down at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts between July 8 and 12 (1A Short Street. Tel: 6331 0353).
