In this Charity Art Exhibition cum Auction jointly organized with Fuji Xerox Singapore, Tan Kay Nguan uses nature as the theme in his oil paintings. These paintings are, however, not mere imitations of nature but have undergone the distillation of intellectual insight and the purification of feelings to achieve the very purpose of their creation. Nearly 80 paintings will be for sale, with 5 for silent auction.

By using a multi-faceted approach in his modern paintings, he strives to achieve a new visual effect. The joyous and unfettered flow of colour application arouses the beholder’s appreciation of the artist’s deep affection for nature. Under this method of painting, the beholder is led to imagine the transformation of colours to light, light to matter and matter to melody. The intricate transformation of light, colour, element and motion is magnificent and dazzling.
