She is born in Singapore where she now lives and works. She is married to a military officer who has served as a diplomat in Malaysia. It was during this period, from 1992 that she started painting, being taught by a very well known Malaysian Chinese artist in Kuala Lumpur.J enny's Style of painting is "Xie Yi" (impressionistic style) which uses ink on rice or cotton paper. She also studied the art of Ikebana flower arrangement from the Sogetsu School. Her paintings are influenced by the combination of these two skills. Some of her paintings have been exhibited in a 1995 charity event.
