Attendance tops 2,800 at IdN Fresh Conference 2002/Singapore
IdN, organizer of the IdN Fresh Conference 2002/Singapore today announced the
overwhelming success of its third IdN Fresh Conference. A record-breaking 2,800
attendees per day visited Halls 2A & B in the Singapore EXPO on 26/27 April
2002.

said Laurence Ng, publisher of IdN magazine. "The enthusiastic support
contributed by Asian creative communities to this event convinces us that the
creative industry in Asia will take a very important role in the worldwide
creative industry of the future."
Outstanding Speaker Line-up
Asia's largest-ever creative conference featured thirteen individual speaking
sessions, as well as a round-table discussion offering a comprehensive agenda.

inspiring event.
A Real International Event
Among the 2,800 attendees, 60% were overseas delegates. Apart from
Singapore-based attendees, topping the list of those attending IdN Fresh
Conference 2002/ Singapore, were visitors from Malaysia, Indonesia, India,
Philippines and Thailand.
Attendance soars at the EXPO and the Gallery
The exhibition and the gallery, held alongside the conference, drew more than
5,000 enthusiastic visitors over the two and a half-day show period. This time
round, the Fresh Conference featured a bigger exhibition and gallery than the
previous conferences.
As an integral part of the exhibition, many leading companies from the creative
industry introduced cutting-edge applications and technology, including desktop
publishing, web and motion graphics.
The Gallery was divided into two parts - Artwork Gallery and Installation
Gallery.
Artwork Gallery displayed winning entries from the IdN decade Design Awards,
while the Installation Gallery - IdN's first installation gallery in Asia -
showcased interactive pieces constructed by Tomato Interactive, Graham Plumb,
Ryota Kuwakubo and four institutes from Singapore and Malaysia - Lasalle Sia,
Nanyang Polytechnic, The One Academy and Multimedia University. Those
installation pieces shown in the installation gallery were mobbed by crowds all
the times.
