Some of the artists from the Danger museum will be participating about this project on the 'founder' of Singapore, Sir Stamford Raffles. Held in the Singapore High Commission in London. Only for a short 2 days. Venue: Singapore High Commission Address: 9 Wilton Crescent, London SW1Y 8SP Date: 7th & 8th February 2001 Time: 10am - 4pm This site-appropriate exhibition engages Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles (1781-1826), the founder of Singapore as a British Trading Post in 1819, re-animating his presence and the ghost of the empire and what he represents to Singaporeans. The artists include Chan Liping, Grace Chia, Chong Li Chuan, Jacelyn Kee, Grace Kwa, Lee Sze-Chin, Lim Kok Boon, Saiful Idris, Sim Buan Heng, Benny Sootho, Tan Guoliang, Woon Tien Wei and Zulhari Adnan; with text contributions from Irwin ee and Sim Chi Yin.
