BIOINFORMATIX

Bioinformatix is a multi-media web-based installation that discusses the notion of the hierarchical relationship between sight and sensations, selective attention, mental perception and appreciation of reality, and overloading of senses. The images encompass those of the human genome, and those of computing processors, and the array of images sparks discussion on the similarities between hard-wired humans and machines in the reception, processing, and construction of reality.

Bioinformatix can be projected on the total complete walls of a dark isolated viewing room in galleries and museums over the world simultaneously.

Bioinformatix is a work by the artist Chng Nai Wee in the year 2001.
