Arts Education Council visits LASALLE-SIA

The Arts Education Council, led by Senior Minister of State for Education, Mr Peter Chen, visited LASALLE-SIA in July. The Council was welcomed by LASALLE-SIA President Dr Brian Howard, College management and Heads of Schools. The visitors included Professor Leo Tan, Director, National Institute of Education; Professor Chong Chi Tat, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, National University of Singapore; Ho Kah Leong, Principal, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA); Mdm Goh Lay Kuan, co-founder of Practice Performing Arts School; and artist Chng Nai Wee. The Arts Education Council was set up following recommendations by the Committee to Upgrade Singapore’s two arts institutions – LALLE-SIA and NAFA.
